Tells AfPax Insider His Men Killed Nine Americans in July Afghanistan assault
08/24/2008 9:00 PM ET
In an exclusive interview with AfPax Insider, the top Taliban commander in the Afghan province of Nuristan, Mullah Munibullah, claims his fighters were responsible for the July 13 attack on a U.S. outpost that left nine U.S. Soldiers dead.

During the lengthy August 21 interview in Afghanistan, Munibullah answered questions about the attack on the base and shared his views on Osama bin Laden, Mullah Omar, Hamid Karzai, and much more.

Munibullah held open the prospect of the Taliban making peace with the Karzai government, but only if all allied foreign forces first departed Afghanistan.

Munibullah ruled out peace talks with the United States, declared "Democracy is totally against Islam," and appealed to Arabs to join the fight against the United States.

We'll provide a full report on the Munibullah interview tomorrow (Monday).
